RCD Hosts BLS Hands-on Workshop

Rehman College of Dentistry's (RCD) Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and RMI Dean's Office hosted a workshop on Basic Life Support (BLS) skills. The training was conducted by AHA-certified trainers, including Associate Dean RMI Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Wahid, Assistant Professor Dr. Nazma Saleem, and Senior Registrar Dr. Umer Ullah from RCD. The workshop equipped participants with crucial life-saving techniques. BLS refers to the initial care provided to individuals experiencing cardiac arrest, breathing difficulties, or blocked airways. Participants had the opportunity to engage in practical exercises to enhance their skills following the latest AHA guidelines. They actively practiced these skills during the workshop and, upon successful completion of a brief assessment, received certificates. The session was an excellent opportunity for aspiring dental professionals to gain essential skills and knowledge to respond effectively in emergencies.
