Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is the Surgical specialty that provides treatment of Oral Pathologies, Maxillofacial Trauma, Jaw Deformities correction with Orthognathic Surgery, treatment of oral cancers and rehabilitation of patients with reconstructive surgeries and implants.
RCD department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is one of the few departments in the country which is well equipped for advanced surgical procedures with facilities of ICU care for the patients.
We also facilitate students and post graduate trainees in their education and making them efficient in clinical skills in addition to inculcating a professional attitude as per international standards.

About 

Our aim is to provide quality treatment with low cost and better facilities as compared to public sector hospitals. 

 

Academic

We have final year BDS students that come to our department and we demonstrate them in minor oral surgery. We have ten post graduate residents of FCPS whom we train in our respective department. We regularly conduct Journal clubs, CPCs, presentations and workshops in our department.
 

Research

Our department has done many researches and published articles in local as well as international journals and currently 5 researches are in progress.

•  Our Department deals with more advanced surgical procedures as compare to other institutes in KPK
•  We are constantly updating the knowledge of the faculty by regularly organizing courses, workshops  and conferences.
•  The department has a strong faculty and is equipped with the state-of-the-art equipment and is recognized by the CPSP for postgraduate training.

Case Studies: 
The department started with only three units initially and now we have a facility of twenty dental units. It caters to the need of both undergraduate and post graduate students. We regularly hold continued educational activities and our department is highly respected and well recognized in the community.
