RCD Equips Aspiring Dentists with Life-Saving Skills

Rehman College of Dentistry's (RCD) Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department, in collaboration with the RMI Dean's Office, recently hosted a valuable workshop on Basic Life Support (BLS) skills.

Led by a team of certified trainers, including Associate Dean Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Wahid, Assistant Professor Dr. Nazma Saleem, and Senior Registrar Dr. Umer Ullah, the workshop provided participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to respond effectively in emergencies.

BLS encompasses the initial care provided to individuals experiencing cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, or airway obstructions. Through interactive exercises aligned with the latest AHA guidelines, participants actively practiced these critical techniques, solidifying their understanding and preparedness. Upon successful completion of a brief assessment, participants received certificates, marking their accomplishment.

This workshop served as a valuable learning experience for aspiring dental professionals, empowering them with the crucial knowledge and skills to confidently manage emergencies and potentially save lives.
