Meniscus Tears

It is one of the most common knee injuries. Knee joints are very strongly built, with shock absorbing tissues (menisci) at the joint between shin and thigh bones. Sometimes due to excessive pressure or twisting the joint, the shock absorbing tissue can tears, disturbing the proper functioning of the joint. These kind of injuries mostly faced by athletes.

•    Waves of pain and getting worse when putting pressure on knee.
•    Swelling.
•    Stiffness and immobility or difficulty moving.

Minor or outer layer tears can heal on itself, but most do not heal on its own so it must be treated medically. Conservative treatments such as icing, rest and medication can help. But more serious tears must be treated surgically.
