Department of General Medicine

General medicine is a specialty that deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. At RCD, We cover an extensive syllabus that deals with the common ailments, patients attend the hospital for. The common systems that we teach the dental students include the immune system, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, respiratory, nervous, endocrine and rheumatology systems. We also teach students the general principles involved in diagnosing and treating kidney and blood disorders. 

Academic

We are currently only offering undergraduate courses to our dental students. There is an extensive list of post graduate courses on offer to the medical graduates.

People

There are two faculty members in this department responsible for teaching dental students. Dr Saima Alam Afridi and Dr Fahim Ullah.

Facilities

We have fully equipped wards where students can learn all the new and novel techniques in addition to gaining basic clinical skills.
