Department of Biochemistry
In the Department of Biochemistry at the Rehman Medical Institute, under graduate students have the opportunity to be trained in laboratory techniques related to life sciences.
Our laboratory and instrumentation facilities are up to the mark and full fill all the requirements for an under graduate school.
Undergraduate students of MBBS are being trained in the subject of Medical Biochemistry with this belief that understanding biochemical basis of diseases may help in the practice of clinical medicine. Students have to focus not only on accumulation of factual knowledge of the subject but also on the development of ideas & relationships that will be helpful in their clinical practice. Moreover, undergraduate students are being taught molecular & biochemical basis of genetics considering the current era as genomic era of molecular medicine.

Biochemistry Laboratory
The laboratory performs a wide variety of different biochemical tests in whole blood, serum/ plasma and other bio fluids by the use of a wide range of equipment, from the simple most basic to automated, modern and sophisticated systems.
