Dr. Zainab Akbar is an accomplished dental professional with a distinguished academic background and extensive experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery. She graduated with honors from Army Medical College in November 2011, where she ranked as the second-best graduate of her course. Following her graduation, Dr. Akbar completed her house job at the Armed Forces Institute of Dentistry in 2012. She then embarked on her FCPS training in 2013 and successfully obtained her fellowship from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2017.

Dr. Akbar has contributed significantly to the field of dentistry through her teaching and clinical expertise. She served as a Senior Registrar in Oral Medicine at the Foundation University College of Dentistry for an entire academic session. Currently, she holds the position of Assistant Professor at Rehman College of Dentistry (RCD), where she plays a vital role in various capacities. She is involved in teaching third-year students, providing guidance as a research supervisor, and actively participating in the Diagnostics and Oral Medicine Clinic. Additionally, Dr. Akbar lends her expertise to the Implant Clinic, where she assists in providing specialised care.

Driven by a passion for education, Dr. Akbar is concurrently pursuing her Masters in Health Professional Education (MHPE) from Riphah International University. This additional qualification reflects her commitment to staying at the forefront of dental education and enhancing her teaching abilities. Dr. Zainab Akbar's clinical excellence, teaching practice, research expertise, commitment to continuous professional development, and multifaceted skills make her an invaluable asset to Rehman College of Dentistry.
